Ashtanga is a traditional style of yoga with roots in Mysore, India. It is based on a set series of postures that develop and grow with your continued practice. Ashtanga Yoga is extremely well suited to compliment climbing, as the beginning standing postures begin to open your shoulders and strengthen your legs, and the seated postures focus on hamstring and hip opening. With consistent practice and the repetition of these postures you will see a dramatic difference in your bodies abilities both on the mat and the wall.
